Specialty care in Rheumatology available at LVMH

People in the Lake County area who deal daily with arthritis and other joint and muscle pain are now able to receive specialty care at Lake View. Rheumatologist Charles Moore, MD, has office hours at the hospital's outpatient specialty clinic on the first and third Monday of each month.

Dr. Moore's patients include teens to adults. They come to him for diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of connective tissue disease, such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus. Some of the conditions that affect joints are limited in duration with treatment; others can be more serious and may indicate life or organ threatening illnesses.

Dr. Moore joined Rheumatology Associates, a St. Luke's specialty clinic in Duluth, in early 2000. He had practiced for 23 years in Kentucky, and left in search of a patient-driven health care community. He's "absolutely happy" with his decision to move to northern Minnesota.
