LAKE VIEW AUXILIARY JANIS FABINI MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Janis Leone Fabini was born December 9, 1932. She was a mother of six including a set of twins, 1 girl and 5 boys. She was a registered nurse at Lake View Memorial. After a number of years she became the director of nursing. She was a strong supporter of education, especially for women who wanted to go back to college and get a degree in the medical field after being out of school for many years. Over the years she was a mentor for many women who had interest in the nursing profession.
Janis Fabini died of cancer at an early age October 12, 1992. Jan's family donated money in her memory and a scholarship fund was created. Her husband Joe and family along with fund-raisers from the Lake View Auxiliary, continue to keep the scholarship going.
Jan was a strong believer in education and was very dedicated to her profession and the medical field.
